In today’s must-read eCommerce Times article “The Mobile Retailer’s Multi-Screen Challenge,” journalist Erica Morphy closely examines the gamut of causative factors contributing to what makes mobile CRM (eCommerce) work – particularly as they address the interests of customers.
CEO Barry Sloane of Newtek, The Small Business Authority was called upon his expertise regarding eCommerce, pointing out cloud hosting as a reason for much improvement this holiday season, saying:
“This Thanksgiving-Black Friday holiday week, though, appears to be a tipping point in that respect. Compared to last year, I didn’t see or hear of any major crashes or glitches for online sites — even as mobile commerce clearly increased. One reason for that is that more websites are being hosted in the cloud rather than on a server with a shared plan … It can make a difference in how the site handles increased traffic for days like Black Friday.”
