Job Title: Outbound Sales Associate – eCommerce
Classification: Non-Exempt
Location: Phoenix, Arizona

Reports to: VP Business Development / VP eCommerce
Salary Range:  $12.50 – $15.38/hour

Position Purpose: Incumbent is responsible for placing outgoing calls to new or existing consumers with the purpose of generating interest, understanding consumer needs, cross-selling, promoting, exploring and/or informing of the value behind Newtek’s product with the belief that Newtek will increase revenue, reduce expenses and minimize risk. Additionally, incumbent is also responsible for generating sales leads and referrals in NewTracker and directing them to the appropriate specialist. All sales leads and referrals submitted, will need to be followed up with on a daily or weekly basis to ensure a higher closing rate.

Essential Functions: (other duties may be assigned or duties modified as needed)

  • Work directly with consumers by way of telephone and email to describe products and/or services in order to persuade potential and current consumers to purchase new products and/or services
  • Educate consumers on product offerings and services, explain pricing and answer questions building value in the customer relationship
  • Identify opportunities to provide business solutions to small or medium sized businesses by way of upsell and/or cross sell of additional products
  • Continued product training and education for product awareness to better service outgoing calls.
  • Maintain daily record documentation of telephone calls on network system
  • When an opportunity is uncovered the customer should be live transferred to the appropriate Business Service Specialist (BSS) or a referral should submitted into NewTracker
  • Using Newtek’s referral system, NewTracker; enter client information and assign to appropriate line of business Cross Selling other Newtek services to a new or existing customer with the belief that you are creating a partnership and serving the customer by introducing them to additional products or services that assist the business owner in increasing sales, reducing expenses and minimizing risk
  • Follow up with clients by way of telephone or email utilizing NewTracker pursuing initial sales contact

Minimum Qualification:

  • 2 years’ experience in a call center environment
  • 1 year experience in telesales
  • Experienced with Web Based Applications and Windows
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Problem solving and decision making skills
  • Excellent attendance and work ethic
  • Ability to work flexible hours and days
  • Ability to self-manage and use work time wisely to the maximum benefit
  • Ability to manage 100 outbound calls minimum per day
