The iPhone 6 is here!

Apple Inc. Reveals Bigger-Screen iPhones Alongside WearablesIt's been a week since the release of Apple's newest baby, or should we say babies: The iPhone 6, iPhone 6+. Meaning regular people (those that don't have 18 hours to stand in line outside the Apple Store, or thousands of dollars to buy it on Amazon) have easy access to the new hardware.

These two phones are slim and large. The iPhone 6, 4.7 inch screen and the 6 Plus, a 5.5 inch screen, almost as big as Apple’s iPad Mini. But the biggest selling points for this sleek thin new device are not just in its outer shell but its interior.

Both phones have options of 16gb, 64gb, and 128gb. A fairly impressive amount of data to hold, but users will also have iCloud for extra storage needs. With more space on your phone, that means more pictures, more games, more apps; like a fitness app that helps you track your steps, but instead of a bracelet, the responsiveness of the phone is tracking your steps.

Although the phone is supper thin, Apple does not compromise the (beloved) camera. Both cameras, front and back, have been improved. The back camera protrudes out a little bit from the back of the phone, this 8 mega pixel camera is protected with a sapphire, scratch-proof lens. It has been enhanced with focus pixels that focus properly based on light elements which allows for capturing the moment quicker and automatically in HDR. Snapping pictures got faster but taking video has been slowed down. As in slow motion videos can be watched even slower with filming at 60 frames per second. Added bonus, sending videos via iMessage and text message. The front camera, (selfie) camera allows for greater images in lower light. That's right, there are going to be a lot more unwanted selfies out there to “like.”

Although the 6 packs many feature upgrades, sadly Apple left out the High Definition display. Resolution for these phones is up to 326ppi (that’s pixels per inch, the more the better) these phones are still showing great pictures, but something is being held back. Sounds like something iPhone7 should be released with. Along with no high definition screen the battery life isn’t much better. Sure Apple says that the battery life of the phone is 25% better but seems like complaints are still coming in, along with complaints about the phones bending. How are these phones bending? Maybe it’s just skinny jeans being too skinny and not fitting the phone. Our suggestion: don’t put your phone in your pocket or put it in a pocket that you won’t sit on.

Apple still has some kinks to work out from their iOS8 system, but when have they ever released a system with that was flawless? My recollection is never. They’ll send another update soon!
